Boz Scaggs finally makes it back to The Fox, three RCC Music concerts at The Coil, and an evening with two giants of Mexican comedy.
Big Boz Sounds at The Fox Sunday Night
American music icon Boz Scaggs finally gets to play a rescheduled show at The Fox Performing Arts Center this weekend.
Scaggs, who played in the Steve Miller Band before breaking out in 1976 with his blue-eyed soul hit Lowdown from his album Silk Degrees.
He’s touring in support of his latest album, Out of The Blues.

RCC Music to Bring Guitars, Jazz, and Vocal Variety to The Coil
The Riverside City College Music Department presents another great week of events featuring the RCC Guitar Ensemble, the RCC Jazz Combos, and members of the RCC Vocal Music program.
Wednesday night, Dr. Peter Curtis directs the RCC Guitar Ensembles with selected soloists in the Coil Concert Hall.
The various Jazz Combos from RCC's nationally-recognized, award-winning jazz program set up in the Hall on Thursday night.
Saturday evening the tunes move to the Rooftop Terrace of the RCC Centennial Plaza. The students of the vocal music program present Coffee House 2022 with a variety of solos, duets, and group performances. Enjoy coffee, pastries, and great music over Downtown!

Two of North America's Biggest Comedy Stars Coming to The Fox
The Fox Performing Arts Center welcomes two very popular comediantes on Friday night.
The UNI2 Latin Comedy Tour brings features multinational comedy stars Teo Gonzalez and Rogelio Ramos together in their first US tour.

Darkwave, Alternative Nights Planned for Concert Lounge
The Concert Lounge features two nights with multiple bands.
Friday, IE latin alt rockers The Hayds celebrate the release of their new single, Electric Lemonade. Support acts include Dear Donna, The Dreamscape from Ontario, and Cold Cut from the IE.
There's more of an electronic darkwave vibe on Saturday with Provoker from Los Angeles. Also on the bill: Mannequin from San Diego and from Sacramento, Harsh Symmetry.

What Is It About Music Outdoors That Makes It So Good?
Maybe it's just me, but you can't beat the feels of hearing music outdoors this time of year. A late spring sunset is even better with cool tunes wafting in the pre-summer breeze while you watch the dark make the lights come on.
Outdoors this week:
Canyon Crest Towne Center features country music with Country Sounds playing Tuesday's installment of their Summer Just Got Cooler Concert Series in the main courtyard.
On Saturday, Romano's Mission Grove continues their Summer Acoustic Patio Series with the delightful Apryle Dalmacio playing her own songs with songs from throughout the last six decades (or so).
It will be later than the sunrise but too early for a sunset when Riverside folk singer songwriter and community activist Jonny Miller plays on the patio of the Riverside Airport Cafe Sunday morning.

Popular Riverside Bands Back at Packinghouse
Friday night at the Packinghouse Brewing Company Backdoor, Riverside rockers The Flying Cruisers team up with their Riverside friends Dead Radio. I saw a PBC Instagram post a few weeks ago that showed Riverside's HeelTap on board, but PBC's event page doesn't show them, so maybe HeelTap too.
Saturday Doc Walker pays a visit to the Backdoor stage. I wish I could tell you more but I really couldn't find anything about Doc. Let me know if you do.
