OG Alt-90s Band 311 At The Muni Tonight
Riverside Municipal Auditorium welcomes 1990s alt-reggae-rockers 311 tonight. Teenage Wrist, from Los Angeles, opens the show.
311 was formed in 1990 in Omaha, Nebraska. The current lineup has played together since 1992. Nine of the band's albums have reached the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

Outdoor Summer Music: Just Getting Started
Two venues have Summer 2022 music series underway and several more should announce their lineups in the next few weeks.
Canyon Crest Towne Centre is three shows into their Summer Just Got Cooler Concert Series with Double Shot playing tonight.
Further up the hill it's the Summer Acoustic Patio Series at Romano's Mission Grove featuring Alexis Magaña & David James on the patio Saturday night.
I'm keeping an eye on The Riverside Plaza, The City of Riverside, and University Village. The Plaza and The City both had shows last year and University Village has yet to resume their series that had its most recent run in 2019.

The Stars Align: Patrick Maloney hosting Open Mics at Three Venues
I'm not sure what we're all doing right but the Riverside Open Mic will happen at no less than three venues this week.
Last Wednesday's event at Back To The Grind had to be moved at the last minute to Euryale Brewing Company and it looks like it was a good night.
Tonight, Patrick will host at The Hideaway with the Mic open to music and comedy for those 21 and older.
Wednesday, he's at Back To The Grind for a music only night open to all ages.
Thursday, it's open mic and karaoke at Euryale Brewing Company–all ages.
Get your songs together and play all of 'em!

My friends from Redlands The Marvels set up Friday evening at VFW Post 9223. Out on the west end at Arlington & Tyler, the Post has live music fairly often.
Packinghouse Brewing Company has good offerings both nights this weekend on their Backdoor stage. Friday, it's Cari Fontaine & O.M Band from Temecula. Saturday, Campfire Joe drops in for a night of solo acoustic tunes.
The Shameless Band (hey, Redlands) returns to Lake Alice Friday night and Saturday the guys from L.A.'s Gravity Guild make the drive out the 10 and/or 60 to play at The Lake.

Hideaway Hosts Vibey Sounds From The City
Southern California's Cherry Bomb Revival comes to The Hideaway Friday night to play rockabilly and cumbias for your dancing pleasure.
The show opens with instrumental garage rock from Los Apaches from L.A. There's a $10 cover.

Vocal Duo Brings Jazz, R&B to Canyon Crest Winery
Canyon Crest Winery features live tunes on Friday nights and this week they welcome favorites Ojie & Songbyrd.
Lloyd Huggins (Ojie) and Sheri Thompson-Whitten (Songbyrd) have worked together for over a decade, opening for many major acts. Enjoy a glass of wine and indulge yourself with a dinner selection from Yo Mama's Soul Food Catering.

Coil Concert Hall Hosts Thomas Hooten, Wind Ensemble This Sunday
Thomas Hooten, Principal Trumpet of the Los Angeles Philharmonic performs a solo guest artist recital Sunday morning at the RCC Henry W. Coil Sr. and Alice Edna Coil School for the Arts Concert Hall.
Mr. Hooten has recorded with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the National Brass Ensemble. He also releases his own recordings.
Later Sunday afternoon, the RCC Wind Ensemble, directed by Kevin Mayse, joins up with the RCC Concert Band, directed by James Rocillo.
